By in large, the Brits excel at using the internet. If we wanted to, we could rent a place site-unseen because so many letting (that's British for rental) agencies have fantastic web sites. I'm finding, though, that there's often a piece or two of information taken for granted. Like, just TRY to figure out where Stonehenge actually is from the Stonehenge web site.
The web site for the local bus system is lovely, telling you all about where you can go, where to park your shopping buggy on the bus, and how to signal the driver.
But.
I dare you to figure out how much it costs to ride the bus.

Crying over fat-free half-and-half
For months, we've been joking about moving to England whenever we encounter something unfavorable. "Nanny O'Brien's is closing? Pfftt! I'm moving to England in protest!" "They're closing the bridge for 18 months? Forget that! Let's move to England!" "No matter how many times I ask, Brookeville Grocery doesn't stock fat-free half-and-half. Ach! Another reason to leave!"
Yesterday? On the shelf at Brookeville? Fat-free half-and-half.
Too bad. We're moving to England.

Dollars and Sense
Gee, what a fantastic time to move to England:
"The tanking dollar, which recently hit a 20-month low against the euro and a 14-year low against the British pound, has Americans who live or travel in Europe gulping harder, digging deeper and shelling out painful amounts of money."
